FROM POINTS SOUTH Follow Route 95 North to exit 3A in Rhode Island. At the end of the exit ramp bear right onto Route 138 East. Follow this road to the intersection with Route 1 North/South (a couple of miles after passing the University of Rhode Island). At this traffic light take a left onto Route 1 North and look for the Jamestown/Newport Bridges exit on the right. The Jamestown Bridge leads to the Newport Bridge ($2.00 toll). Take the first exit off the Newport Bridge (Scenic Newport) and take a right at the end of the exit ramp onto Farewell Street. At the second traffic light take a right onto America's Cup Avenue and follow the signs for Fort Adams State Park. FROM POINTS NORTH AND BOSTON Take Interstate 93 South out of Boston to Route 24 South. Around Fall River, MA follow Route 24 South (Fall River/Newport signs) to Route 114 South. This four-lane road is called West Main Road through the towns of Portsmouth and Middletown and once in Newport becomes a two-lane road called Broadway. Once on Broadway, the Newport Hospital is on the left, followed by the Police Station on the right. At Newport City Hall, the next landmark on the left, take a right onto Marlborough Street (follow the sign for The Visitors Center) and continue to the traffic light. Take a left onto America's Cup Avenue and follow the signs for Fort Adams State Park. DIRECTIONS
FROM NORTHERN RI Take Route 95 South. At the split of 95 South, about 10 miles south of Providence, Rhode Island, the two left lanes lead toward Route 4 South (North Kingstown, East Greenwich) at exit 9. Route 4 South merges into Route 1 South after the second traffic light. From Route 1 South take the exit for the Jamestown/Newport Bridges which leads to Route 138 East.
